“Janis”
Hillary has a Bachelor’s Degree in Theater/Acting from Illinois State University and worked upon graduation at the Idaho Theater for Youth as assistant to the Artistic Director, tour manager and teacher at the Theater’s acting academy and summer intensives.
After a long theater hiatus Hillary is pleased to be involved in Springfield Theatre both on and off stage. “The Armageddon Dance Party” is her second ADHD Production, having performed in last summer’s “Danger: Adult Content.” She was one of two stage managers for MUNI’s “Miss Saigon,” and will be handling props for the Over The Moon production of “Wit” in February 2008. Hillary also works with AWA Productions.
By day, Hillary performs office duties at Schwartz-Copper Financial and attends school in pursuit of a nursing degree.
“That’s right kids, acting rarely pays the bills!”
She is also a board member with both the Springfield Old Capitol Art Fair and Springfield Ballet Company, which satisfies her passion for supporting the arts in a local, hands-on way. Hillary would like to thank her family and friends for their love and support, and would like to mention that her all time favorite role is “Mom” to Will, Atticus & Allison.
