THE NAME...

or

How ADHD Productions came to be...

We went through many different ideas for what to name our theatre company, but nothing clicked.  Additionally, the names that we would think up (and thought were great) were already taken.  Then one day... BAM!  Strangely enough, while Mac was mowing the lawn the perfect name hit... and ADHD Productions was born.  It is our goal that ADHD Productions will produce top quality, lesser known shows.  Its no secret that both owners have... attention and hyperactivity issues, but that just makes this production company stronger.  We view ADHD as an advantage in this case, not a barrier.

THE PAST...

or

The "Not So Distant" past...

ADHD Productions is announcing it's inaugural production - Richard Dresser's two-man comedy ROUNDING THIRD. Getting rave reviews across the country, ROUNDING THIRD follows the tumultuous journey of two little league coaches (Don - the tough, blue-collar, win-at-all costs veteran coach, and Michael – a newcomer to both the town and the game) from their first tentative meeting to the climactic championship game. The local production will be held May 20-21 & 27-28 at 7:03pm in the Club Room at the Hoogland Center for the Arts.  Tickets are available by calling the Hoogland Center box office at 523-2787.

For ADHD Productions' first show, we were looking for a quality comedy that was able to speak to an audience through REAL characters that everyone in an audience could relate to.  The unique thing we found in this play was that many individuals in the audience will actually find themselves relating to each character, in one way or another.  Also, as couple of guys just wanting to have fun and have audiences have fun with it, we wanted it to be simple to stage and intimate for the audience.  Really, we’re all about having fun in the arts- ALL the arts. We want to have fun and we want the audience to have fun too.
